Alpaca Grove is owned and operated by Pat Badger, the bassist and one of the founding members of the Boston rock band Extreme. You may have seen him featured in the "Past Lives" article of the Winter 2005 issue of Alpacas Magazine or on VH1's "Bands Reunited" series where they actually came and took a tour of his farm.
"When my band Extreme broke up in 1996 after 7 years of touring and recording, I was ready to have a change of lifestyle. With that chapter of my life closed...at least I thought it was closed... I was faced with a new challenge. What would I do now? I had visions of turning my property into a working farm. I was just uncertain about what animals to raise.... until I found out about alpacas! I never envisioned how amazing and rewarding it could be and how many dear friends I would make in the alpaca community. It has been an incredible journey!"

Raising alpacas has become a labor of love for Pat and he would love the opportunity to share this incredible lifestyle with you. Whether you board your alpacas at Alpaca Grove or take them home to your farm, he and his staff will provide you with continuous support.
Alpaca Grove is located in northeastern Massachusetts, conveniently located just minutes off of I-95 near the MA-NH border, 45 minutes north of Boston.
Pat encourages you to visit the farm in person. Spend the day and review the details of alpaca ownership. Plan a weekend trip to visit the beautiful seaport of Newburyport where you can stay at one of many Inns and B&Bs. It's a wonderful place to go shopping, whale-watching, take a river cruise or charter a fishing boat. There are also beautiful beaches in the area.
